Hunting the elusive 260SE

There's only about 400 of them in the world so they are hard to find. Also, their owners seem, as a rule, very reluctant to part with them. As a recent new owner, I can tell you that there is not buyer's remorse. It's a great plane that enhances the utility of the category-leading 182 while adding a difficult to define fun factor.

When I went looking for one, I tried to buy used but just couldn't find one that I liked.

I believe Todd has one for sale in El Dorado. If you can get past the paint color and wood grain panel, it's a good plane. I was looking to do something specific with the avionics however and couldn't justify all the expensive stuff I would be junking if I bought that one.

Good luck on your search,it will be worth the effort.One year and 200 hrs later I too would not part with mine.
