Thats pretty cool Mike. I have been keeping track on the progress of those small composite jets. They really look promising.

One of these recently showed up at PAO and appears to be based there for the time being. I put a photo in the "Aviation Related" album in the photo gallery. Longish nose, 5-blade prop, small wings and empennage.

I've seen it fly twice. In both cases the owner rocketed off the runway for a right 270 overhead departure, by the time he was overhead he must have already leveled off close to the floor of class B (4000 feet). He disappeared to the southwest towards the coast, only to reappear less than 20 minutes later, land, and park. With its small, heavily loaded wings, it does come in flat and hot, much faster than a Pilatus PC-12 for example.

It must be a rush to fly, but it's all over in 20 minutes! As for me, I'm happy to take my flying pleasure at a more measured pace...
