I have been having a ball getting acquainted with my 230SE these past 2+ months. Today I went up to practice stalls, steep turns, constant rate climbs & descents and the only trouble I had was during the power on stall. I cleared the area after completing the power off stall [so benign I have difficulty calling it that], maintained 65kts, added 20 degrees of flaps then applied power and pulled back to 15, then 20 degrees. The airspeed bled to below the 35kts notch, but she just kept climbing at 350fpm; just amazing me! I’ll have to go up again as I never did get her to break. I was under the local Class B veil & didn't want to bust that.

During my most recent IPC the instructor asked me to demonstrate a power-on stall under the hood. I slowed to 70 KIAS, then brought in 24"/2400 rpm and pulled back, keeping the ball centered. The airspeed indicator got to zero--literally--and we could not get a break. He finally told me to give up. Gotta love this plane!
